SINGAPORE – In 2016, a woman from America who goes by the pseudonym Jordan Belamire wrote on open publishing platform Medium about how she had been virtually groped while trying out a virtual reality (VR) game.

She had been sexually assaulted previously in real life, and said being assaulted during the VR game was like being attacked physically.
