SINGAPORE – Fruit and vegetables past their use-by date might not be the obvious means of sprucing up the house but a local firm has found a way to turn such mushy waste into products like soap and dishwashing liquid that are safe for babies and children.

The process developed by JRW International’s brand Green Kulture is also a nifty way of reducing the amount of food being dumped.
